Torque, strain and temperature measurements from driveshafts require reliable data transmission in harsh environments, where space is limited and large suspension displacements may occur.  Combinations of standard systems parts provide the solution for single and multi channel applications.

Quickly Installed System for Short Duration Tests

Using a battery to power the transmitter eliminates the 20mm transmission air-gap limit of inductive head powered systems. A transmission air-gap range of 150mm or more avoids shaft movement problems and a steel strapping transmitter attachment kit (CAK) simplifies installation.

Provided that shaft movement is limited to 10-15mm in any direction, the transmitter may be inductively powered to give continuous operation.

System For Use With Large Shaft Movement

If shaft movements of up to +/- 100mm occur, inductive power and signal pickup loop interface module type IL2 is used. Circular or oval loops are availible to suit various directions of shaft movement.

Transmitters available for Strain Gauge or Thermo couple inputs or mixed (multi channel). Remote control means zero adjust, input sensitivity calibration signal etc is adjusted at the demodulator
